AI ecosystem for WordPress

An AI ecosystem for WordPress connects agents such as Claude to your site through the MCP protocol, using the Novamira plugin. The agent reads the site, proposes and carries out content, SEO and code changes, always on staging, with backups, a log of every change and human approval before anything goes live.

In short

  • An AI ecosystem for WordPress has three parts: a model (for example Claude), the MCP protocol and a bridge installed on the site, such as the Novamira plugin.
  • The agent works inside the real WordPress install: it reads plugins, theme, content and database before proposing any change.
  • Nothing reaches production without staging, a backup and human approval. Every change is logged.
  • 93creative delivers three services: MCP integration, Novamira implementation and AI SEO workflows.
  • This site was rebuilt this way: a custom theme, no Elementor, built with Claude connected to WordPress through Novamira.

AI can already write copy. The difference is putting it to work on your WordPress site with clear rules. This page explains how that ecosystem works and where the three services fit: connecting AI agents to WordPress with MCP, Novamira implementation and AI SEO workflows.

What is an AI ecosystem for WordPress?

It is the set of tools and rules that lets an AI agent read and change your site in a controlled way. A chat window where you copy and paste text does not get you there. Here the agent has direct access to WordPress, with defined permissions, and works on what the site actually has installed.

PartWhat it doesExample
AI modelInterprets the request, plans and decides which tools to useClaude, ChatGPT, Gemini
MCP protocolDefines how the model calls external tools in a standard wayModel Context Protocol, an open standard
WordPress bridgeExposes the site’s capabilities to the agentWordPress Abilities API and MCP adapter; Novamira plugin
Project knowledgeKeeps conventions, palette, tone and rules between sessionsNovamira Pro skills and memory
GovernanceLimits what the agent can do and logs what it didStaging, backups, least privilege accounts, logs, human review

How does AI talk to WordPress?

Through MCP (Model Context Protocol). The protocol lets assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT call tools outside the chat. On the WordPress side, the Abilities API describes what the site can do and an MCP adapter makes those capabilities visible to the agent. Novamira brings this together in one plugin and adds capabilities for Gutenberg, Elementor, ACF and Rank Math, plus PHP execution in an isolated area with recovery if something fails.

The connection uses an Application Password created for the purpose, over HTTPS, between your AI client and your server.

What can an AI agent do on a WordPress site?

Almost anything a developer or an SEO consultant would do in the dashboard, but faster and without skipping steps. These are the tasks I use every day:

TaskWhat the agent doesWhat stays with a person
On-page SEO auditReads titles, meta descriptions, headings, schema and internal links across the siteSetting priorities and validating the diagnosis
SEO fixesUpdates metadata in Rank Math, fixes headings, adds alt textApproving each batch before it goes live
Page buildingBuilds pages in Gutenberg or Elementor from a briefReviewing copy, design and offers
Themes and codeWrites templates, blocks, custom post types and ACF fieldsReviewing the code and testing on staging
WooCommerceQueries products, categories and orders for analysisDeciding catalogue and pricing changes

Which AI for WordPress services does 93creative offer?

MCP integration

I connect your WordPress site to an AI client (Claude, Cursor, VS Code and others) with a dedicated account, minimum permissions and a test environment. Ideal for teams that already use AI and want it to work on the real site.

Novamira implementation

Installation, configuration, project skills, security rules and a handover session with your team.

AI SEO workflows

Discovery with Screaming Frog and Search Console, tasks in ClickUp, execution by the agent through Novamira and monthly reporting in Looker Studio, with human approval at every step.

How are safety and control guaranteed?

The right question is not whether AI makes mistakes. It does, just like people. The question is whether a mistake reaches the live site. The rules I apply on every project:

  • Staging first. The agent works on a copy of the site. Production only receives reviewed changes.
  • A backup before every session. Files and database, with a tested restore.
  • Minimum permissions. A dedicated account for the agent, with only what the task needs, and an Application Password that can be revoked in one click.
  • Every change logged. What changed, when and why, linked to the task in ClickUp.
  • Human review before publishing. I or someone on your team approves each batch.
  • GDPR. Customer and order personal data stays out of scope unless there is a documented need and prior agreement.

Real experience. The 93creative site was rebuilt with this method: Elementor went out, a custom theme came in, built with Claude connected to WordPress through Novamira. I use the same ecosystem every day to audit and fix SEO on client sites. At Alicouro, a leather footwear and accessories shop, ongoing work includes connecting WooCommerce to AI through MCP.

Who is an AI ecosystem for WordPress for?

It makes sense if you run a WordPress or WooCommerce site with a lot of content or products, a small team and repetitive work that currently does not get done. It also suits agencies and freelancers who manage several sites. It makes less sense if the site has five pages that change once a year: there, a one-off technical SEO audit does more.

AI on WordPress also connects to the other two pillars. The same agents that fix metadata help prepare content to be cited in AI answers, the work of AI visibility (GEO and AEO), and carry out the SEO consulting plan.

How does an AI for WordPress project start?

  1. Diagnosis (weeks 1 and 2): I analyse the site, the hosting, the plugins and the tasks that take the most time.
  2. Strategy (week 3): we pick the first workflows by impact and effort and set access rules.
  3. Implementation (15 day sprints): I install, configure and get the first workflows running on staging.
  4. Optimisation (monthly): I review logs, adjust skills and widen the scope when results justify it.

Frequently asked questions

Will AI change my site without me knowing?

No. The agent works on staging, with its own account, and every change is logged. Nothing reaches the live site without human approval.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. I handle installation and configuration. Your team gets a handover session to use the workflows day to day.

Does it work with Elementor?

Yes. Novamira has capabilities for Elementor, Gutenberg, ACF and Rank Math. If you want to move away from Elementor, the same method works for building a custom theme.

Which AI model is used?

I work mostly with Claude. MCP is an open standard, so it works with other compatible clients such as Cursor, VS Code or Gemini CLI.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the scope and the number of sites. The fee is set out in a written proposal after the initial review, which is free.
